Before you book
Who prepares my return?
Every return is prepared or reviewed by a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). We're registered with the CRA as an EFILE service provider, and we can submit your returns directly to CRA.
Do I have to come into the office?
No. Most clients work with us entirely online: a video consult, document upload on this page, and an e-signature on Form T183.
I missed the April 30 deadline. Is it too late?
No, but file as soon as you can. If you owe tax, the CRA charges a late-filing penalty of 5% of the balance plus 1% for each full month the return is late, up to 12 months, and benefits like the GST/HST credit and Canada Child Benefit can be paused until you file. We can also help you ask for penalty relief if you qualify.
I'm self-employed. When is my return due?
If you or your spouse or common-law partner earned self-employment income, your return is due June 15. Any balance owing is still due April 30, so interest starts from that date.
What if the CRA reviews a return you prepared?
You speak to the CRA directly, and we can advise you if you need help responding.
How do you keep my documents safe?
Documents you upload are sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection and delivered to our email inbox. We keep records for the six years the CRA requires and handle your information in line with PIPEDA.
